Yorkshire Coast Dog Rescue

Pickering & Malton branch had a tombola at Sinnington May Day Fair. It was a beautiful warm day and we were able to enjoy the sun as well as raising funds. Our Dog Tombola was really popuular and it was good to meet new people and tell people about our charity.

Little Jak aged 15 and blind in one eye has just done a sponsored walk around Pickering.  he is raising funds for us and EARS (who rescued him). Money is still coming in, but to date he has over £200 to share.If anyone wants any details you can  look at his Facebook page.  The final total will be given when all money is collected.

Once again Pickering & Malton branch Annual Auction was a great success. We had around 85 lots again. We have people who support us every year as well as new ones. We had lots of days out which proved popular for families as well as theatre tickets,ornaments, paintings, pictures etc.

The younger members had a stall selling goodie bags for dogs donated by Fish4Dogs and thanks to Shirley at Barclays they should match up to £750.00. On the night we took over £1400.00 so our final total should be over £2000.

Thanks to everyone at The Bay Horse Pickering we had a fun filled afternoon for our raffle. Our supporters are fantastic donating prizes for our events. We hope to have more events there during the summer when the refurbishment is finished. Thanks to Suszann and family for their support and the children who helped,not forgetting Jak of course. He loves to come along.
